Creativity takes time

Hello to anyone out there!
When I started this blog I wanted to update it with projects, inspiration and other things every week but as university swamps me I don't even have time to browse a trashy magazine let alone organise my self on the blog front.
Sooooo I thought I'd chuck up some photos from an assignment I've just completed , with the knowledge that I got a great mark I'm feeling more open to sharing :).
For this assignment we could pretty much do anything we wanted, as long as it fitted the brief we created !
waaahooo take a look !

Beachy Keen

Easter weekend hailed some of the nicest weather I've seen in a long time, so in celebration we went to the beach (Piha to be exact).
Being a sun conscious girl I was devastated to find I forgot the sun hat but I still donned the mans shirt, sunnys and Sunblock to protect ma lovely skin.

Pro tip: avoid mid day bakes, instead head to the beach in the afternoon when the sun has chilled the F*** out and take a few cold ones to enjoy the wild west sunset.

Outfit: Surface Too Deep Goddess Wrap Bikini, Vintage RayBan's, the Mans Shirt and Sunblock

I promise I'll get back to fashion and DIY projects soon..

Welcome Wishes

Hello all (aka Sarah)
Haven't been here in a while.
Ive been living the life of a fashion student running between the iron and the pattern table (while collecting a few loose threads on the way).

But now I am here, Auckland hello!

And what a welcome I got,
my darling Prasanthi who has been exploring her second home India and now is in Paris scouring the flee markets and gawking at Couture Lingerie (sigh...) sent me these fabulous Indian sandals!!!
(please excuse the sock lines)

You can call me Jasmine.

Thanks P..I feel like someone gets my style !

License To Love

Happy Valentines Day!
Today I failed my license and killed myself at Zumba, I came home feeling disheartened and exhausted! Lucky my sweet Man greeted me with Flowers, Ferrero Rochers, Scratch and Wins and Fruit strips.

That Man knows how to please!!

Life's too short to stop at Stop signs anyway.

Today the Skys are an awkward grey and white and the mans at band practise. So I thought I'd unearth some doodles, some old, some new, some indecent...

Forever Shoosing

Out op shopping with Melanie on Tuesday(?) with the intention of buying DIY equipment for hooker heels (recently purchased), instead I scored these amazing Jelly shoes! Its funny how you search for years and when you stop they turn up at the Hospice shop for $2 dollars in your rare size (9-10)!! I think I've always craved these as I never had them as a girl : ) plus you can still admire my beautiful nails.

You Jelly??

Unfortunately we also visited the tempting Numberone Shoe warehouse where I fell in love with these Jennings boots (a take on the Jeffrey Campbell's Litas no doubt). At a greedy $60 I was  convinced that I would not buy them unless I DIY decorated them (as no one wants sad fakes) so I made a deal with the devil and decided I was allowed the boots as long as I brought the tools to DIY them that day! and If I didn't I would take the shoes back.

My search for spike studs was unsatisfying, with a $20 punk collar being my best beat (no one seems to sell singular spike studs) so I opted for star studs from Geoff's Emporium and while there nabbed me some cute little bottles of spray paint in silver, gold, green, blue and pink (all at $3 each)! I also brought little glitter pots, round jewels and spot studs but didn't end up using these.

Check out my next post for the DIY makeover of these bland heels !
